How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of Omarthis with haste.
2. Put a +1/+1 counter on the Omarthis token or another colorless creature you control.
3. The nontoken Omarthis triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
4. The Omarthis token triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop harnesses the recursive power of Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate and multiplies it with a little help from Helm of the Host. Every time you place a +1/+1 counter on a colorless creature, both your original Omarthis and its token copy trigger each other into an infinite loop of growing power, heavily amplified by Coat of Arms pumping your entire board as these creatures swell. Because Helm of the Host creates a nonlegendary token copy that retains the triggered ability, you get to keep both the original and the token around to continually trigger one another, churning out infinitely large colorless threats ready to attack with haste.
