How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers.
2. Holding priority, activate Kirol by tapping two creatures you control, copying the Helm of the Host trigger.
3. Resolve the copy of the Helm of the Host trigger, creating two token copies of Kirol that aren't legendary.
4. Holding priority, activate the Kirol token by tapping two creatures you control, copying the Helm of the Host trigger.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This delightful loop turns a single combat step into an exponential army by weaponizing Kirol, Attentive First-Year's ability to copy triggered abilities. As Helm of the Host initiates its combat trigger, Kirol taps two creatures to duplicate it, and thanks to Elspeth, Storm Slayer sitting on the board, that copied trigger creates a doubled batch of non-legendary Kirol tokens. You can then use those newly minted tokens to tap and copy the original Helm trigger all over again, compounding the number of tokens you create with each iteration. It is a wonderfully clever geometric progression that floods the battlefield with haste-enabled copies ready to overwhelm any opponent.
