How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Gravecrawler, adding CC.
2. Cast Gravecrawler from your graveyard by paying or 2 life due to K'rrik.
3. K'rrik triggers, as well as each creature you control's extort ability.
4. Resolve the first K'rrik trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the first extort trigger, causing you to pay W/B or 2 life due to K'rrik, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain that much life.
6. Repeat step 5 for each remaining trigger.
7. Repeat from step 1.

This clever loop turns Gravecrawler into an infinite engine for colorless mana, life, and triggers by exploiting its ability to crawl straight back from the graveyard as long as you control another Zombie. Ashnod's Altar provides the sacrifice outlet to fuel the loop, turning the skeleton into a neat pair of colorless mana. Meanwhile, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth lets you pay life instead of black mana for both the spell and its associated costs, synergizing beautifully with Pontiff of Blight to grant every creature you control extort. Every iteration drains your opponents and keeps your life total healthy while growing K'rrik infinitely large with +1/+1 counters.
