How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Gravecrawler, causing target player to mill cards equal to its power.
2. Cast Gravecrawler from your graveyard by paying or 2 life due to K'rrik.
3. K'rrik triggers, as well as each creature you control's extort ability.
4. Resolve the first K'rrik trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the first extort trigger, causing you to pay W/B or 2 life due to K'rrik, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain that much life.
6. Repeat step 5 for each remaining trigger.
7. Repeat from step 1.

This lethal loop relies on Gravecrawler’s ability to repeatedly crawl back from the graveyard as long as you control another Zombie, which K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth proudly qualifies as. With K'rrik on the field, the black mana required to cast Gravecrawler can be bypassed entirely by paying life instead, a cost easily offset by the life drain and gain generated by Pontiff of Blight granting every creature you control multiple instances of extort. Finally, Altar of Dementia turns this endless cycle of sacrifices into an infinitely deep mill machine that simultaneously pumps K'rrik's power higher with every single iteration.
