How it works
Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Great Whale.
Fool's Demise's first and second abilities trigger.
Resolve the first Fool's Demise trigger, returning Great Whale from your graveyard to the battlefield.
When Great Whale enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
Resolve the second Fool's Demise trigger, returning Fool's Demise to your hand from your graveyard.
Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability from step 2, causing target player to mill cards equal to Great Whale's power.
Cast Fool's Demise by paying 4, targeting Great Whale.
Repeat.
If the seven lands can tap to produce at least 5, this combo nets infinite mana.
This loop relies on the brilliant recursive engine created by Fool's Demise, which ensures that whenever your enchanted creature hits the graveyard, both the creature and the Aura itself return to safety. By utilizing Altar of Dementia as the sacrifice outlet, you instantly mill away your target player using Great Whale's massive power before the cycle even begins anew. Finally, Great Whale's entry ability untaps your lands to pay for recasting Fool's Demise, turning a single heavy-mana spell into an infinite cascade of triggers, mill, and potentially endless mana.
