How it works

1. Activate six basic Islands by tapping them, adding six .
2. Gauntlet of Power triggers six times, adding six .
3. Cast Palinchron by paying 5.
4. When Palinchron enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping the six Islands and up to one additional land you control.
5. Activate Palinchron by paying 2, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
6. Repeat.

This classic loop leverages the mana-doubling power of Gauntlet of Power to turn a simple casting cycle into a self-sustaining engine. By choosing blue as the Gauntlet's color, your basic Islands produce double mana, generating twelve total mana when tapped—plenty to cover both the {5}{U}{U} cost to recast Palinchron and the {2}{U}{U} activation needed to return it to your hand. When Palinchron enters the battlefield, its triggered ability untaps your lands, leaving you with a surplus of mana and resetting the board to repeat the process indefinitely.
