How it works
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature, adding CC.
- The creature dies, triggering Korvold, causing you to put a +1/+1 counter on it and drawing you a card.
- Nadir Kraken triggers, causing you to pay 1 to put a +1/+1 counter on it and create a 1/1 Tentacle creature token.
- Repeat.
This delightful loop feeds on itself by turning the act of sacrifice into a fountain of cards and mana. Ashnod's Altar provides the engine, converting your creatures into the colorless energy needed to pay for Nadir Kraken's triggered ability whenever you draw. That draw is automatically supplied by Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, whose ravenous hunger triggers every time you feed another permanent to the Altar. The newly spawned Tentacle token from the Kraken then steps right up to the Altar, keeping the cycle spinning while leaving Korvold and the Kraken to grow monstrously large.
