How it works
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature, adding CC.
- Dragon Appeasement triggers, causing you to draw a card.
- Nadir Kraken triggers, causing you to pay 1 to put a +1/+1 counter on it and create a 1/1 Tentacle creature token.
- Repeat.
This engine gets its momentum from Ashnod's Altar, which provides the initial sacrifice outlet to generate colorless mana while feeding fuel to Dragon Appeasement. By sacrificing a creature to the Altar, Dragon Appeasement replaces your skipped draw step by allowing you to draw a card, which in turn triggers Nadir Kraken's ability. Paying the required {1} mana from the Altar's pool lets the Kraken grow with a +1/+1 counter and spawn a Tentacle token, which is then ready to be sacrificed right back to Ashnod's Altar to keep the loop going.
