How it works

1. At the beginning of each draw step, Omen Machine prevents the active player from drawing a card, and causes them to exile the top card of their library, and cast that card if its a spell without paying its mana cost, or put it onto the battlefield if it's a land.
2. If an opponent casts a spell this way, Lavinia triggers, countering that spell.

This diabolical lock completely shuts down your opponents' ability to play Magic by turning Omen Machine's forced card-casting against them. Because Omen Machine makes players cast spells without paying mana costs, every nonland spell they attempt to play enters the stack with zero mana spent. Lavinia, Azorius Renegade immediately swoops in to catch those free spells with her second ability, countering them on the spot. At the same time, Omen Machine's static ability prevents opponents from drawing cards, locking them out of traditional hand advantage while their mandatory library-exiling plays are systematically neutralized.
