How it works

1. Activate the Spider with Thornbite Staff and Fire Whip attached by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to a creature an opponent controls and destroying it due to the Spider's deathtouch.
2. When the creature dies, Shelob and the Spider tapped in step 1 trigger.
3. Resolve the Shelob trigger, creating a token copy of the creature that died that is a Food artifact.
4. Resolve the Spider trigger, untapping it.
5. Repeat as desired. You can also repeat this loop whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This clever loop turns any creature you control into a lethal sharpshooter by equipping it with both Thornbite Staff and Fire Whip, granting it the ability to ping targets for 1 damage. Thanks to Shelob, Child of Ungoliant, any opponent's creature dealt damage by this deathtouch-wielding arachnid will instantly perish and be reborn under your control as a harmless Food artifact token. Meanwhile, Thornbite Staff’s triggered ability watches for that death and automatically untaps the equipped creature, allowing you to repeat the process indefinitely. The result is a devastating creature lock that wipes out your opponents' boards the moment anything tries to enter the battlefield.
