How it works

1. Cast Omarthis by paying 1, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Omarthis.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Omarthis, adding CC.
4. When Omarthis dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Omarthis from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns a modest colorless construct into an entire deck's worth of value, powered by the mana-generating engine of Ashnod's Altar to repeatedly sacrifice Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate. Whenever Omarthis perishes, Together Forever steps in to rescue the card right back to your hand, fueled by that very same altar's mana to pay the activation cost. Because Omarthis enters with a +1/+1 counter and can be recast for cheap, you can cycle it indefinitely, triggering both death and sacrifice counts while churning through your library with its manifest ability. Meanwhile, Herald's Horn sits quietly on the battlefield to smooth out your draws and ensure you keep a steady stream of creature types flowing into your hand.
