How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Oloro's first ability triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
2. Oloro's second ability triggers, causing you to pay 1 to draw a card and cause each opponent to lose 1 life.
3. Starving Revenant triggers. Holding priority, activate Skirge Familiar by discarding a card, adding .
4. Resolve the Starving Revenant trigger, causing target opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop begins in your upkeep with Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, whose passive presence in the command zone automatically triggers life gain to feed your engine. Once that life gain triggers Oloro's payment ability, you draw into Starving Revenant, whose Descend 8 ability activates whenever you draw a card as long as your graveyard is sufficiently stocked with permanent cards. With that trigger on the stack, you can cycle cards away into black mana using Skirge Familiar, fueling the exact mana needed to keep paying Oloro's upkeep tax and spinning the wheel again.
