How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Accomplished Automaton.
2. When Accomplished Automaton dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Accomplished Automaton enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive grant of persist into a perpetual engine by utilizing Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn's reverse face alongside Accomplished Automaton and Carrion Feeder. When you sacrifice Accomplished Automaton to Carrion Feeder, Isilu's granted persist brings the Automaton back with a -1/+1 counter, which is immediately canceled out and neutralized when Automaton's fabricate ability places a +1/+1 counter on it upon re-entry. Because the counters constantly wipe each other away, Accomplished Automaton never accumulates the permanent -1/-1 counters that would normally shut persist down, letting Carrion Feeder devour the mechanical automaton endlessly for infinite triggers and a towering growth.
