How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature with Rancor attached, adding .
2. When Rancor leaves the battlefield, it and Warehouse Tabby trigger.
3. Resolve the Warehouse Tabby trigger, creating a 1/1 Rat creature token.
4. Resolve the Rancor trigger, returning it to your hand from your graveyard.
5. Cast Rancor by paying , attaching it to the Rat token.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop is held together by Warehouse Tabby, whose passive observation is what turns your recyclables into an army—whenever an enchantment goes to the graveyard from the battlefield, the Tabby instantly rewards you with a fresh 1/1 Rat token. You attach Rancor to this newly minted rodent, granting it a little extra punch and trample before feeding it directly to Phyrexian Altar. The Altar converts your sacrifice into the green mana you need to recast Rancor from your hand. Meanwhile, Rancor’s own built-in safety net ensures it bounces right back to your hand when the creature dies, completing the self-sustaining cycle and generating endless sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and storm count.
