How it works

1. Activate Avid Reclaimer by tapping it, adding and causing you to gain 2 life.
2. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying , untapping Avid Reclaimer.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop centers on Avid Reclaimer, which we've enchanted with Freed from the Real to turn its mana-producing tap ability into a self-sustaining engine. By using the blue mana generated by the Reclaimer to pay for Freed from the Real's untap ability, you can repeat the process infinitely to gain as much life as your heart desires. While Nissa of Shadowed Boughs isn't strictly necessary to keep the mana flowing, her presence allows you to rack up loyalty counters and potentially deploy massive threats from your hand or graveyard once your infinite loop is online.
