How it works

1. Activate Megatog by sacrificing Ugin's Nexus, giving it +3/+3 until end of turn.
2. When Ugin's Nexus is sacrificed, it is exiled instead of being put into your graveyard, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
3. Move to your next turn.
4. Activate Isochron Scepter by paying 2 and tapping it, casting a copy of Pull from Eternity without paying its mana cost.
5. Resolve Pull from Eternity, putting Ugin's Nexus from exile into your graveyard.
6. Deal combat damage to an opponent using an Assassin, triggering Layla Hassan, returning Ugin's Nexus from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Cast Ugin's Nexus by paying 5.
8. Repeat.

This intricate loop puts your opponents in a permanent time-out by weaponizing Ugin's Nexus for infinite extra turns. To pull this off, Megatog acts as the sacrifice outlet that triggers the Nexus's replacement effect to send itself into exile while granting you a bonus turn. Once you reach that extra turn, Isochron Scepter goes to work—imprinted with Pull from Eternity, it lets you constantly fish that exiled Nexus right back out of exile and into your graveyard for just two mana. From there, you need an Assassin to sneak in combat damage and trigger Layla Hassan, whose ability plucks the Nexus back from the graveyard into your hand so you can recast it and repeat the whole cycle.
