How it works
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding CC.
When the creature dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers. Choose not to pay.
Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Xu-Ifit, adding CC.
When Xu-Ifit dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
Repeat.
This clever loop uses Ashnod's Altar as the engine to generate mana while simultaneously feeding your graveyard. While Nim Deathmantle's primary trigger is bypassed at first, it stands ready to resurrect Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist whenever the necromancer is sacrificed to the Altar. Xu-Ifit's tap ability then loops other fallen creatures back to the battlefield to keep the sacrifice fodder flowing, ensuring the cycle can repeat indefinitely. Meanwhile, Samut, Voice of Dissent sits quietly in the background providing useful keywords and untapping utility if needed, rounding out a resilient graveyard recursion engine.
