How it works

1. Deal combat damage using the creature that has Breath of Fury attached.
2. Breath of Fury and Aya of Alexandria trigger.
3. Resolve the Aya of Alexandria trigger, creating a 1/1 Assassin creature token.
4. Resolve the Breath of Fury trigger, causing you to sacrifice the creature it is attached to, then attach Breath of Fury to the Assassin token, then causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
5. Repeat each combat phase.

This delightfully convoluted loop transforms the battlefield into an endless parade of extra combat steps by leveraging Mycosynth Lattice, which turns every single permanent into an artifact and therefore inherently "historic." This status allows Aya of Alexandria to constantly pump out 1-1 black Assassin creature tokens whenever combat damage is dealt. Meanwhile, Breath of Fury keeps the chain alive by forcing you to sacrifice your attacker, leap onto the newly minted Assassin token, untap your entire board—which is smoothly facilitated by Samut, Voice of Dissent standing ready—and grant you an additional combat phase ad infinitum.
