How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Guan Yu.
2. When Guan Yu dies, it, Deathrender and Remembrance trigger.
3. Resolve the Guan Yu trigger, causing you to shuffle it into your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, causing you to search your library for Guan Yu and put it into your hand.
5. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting Guan Yu from your hand onto the battlefield, and attaching Deathrender to it.
6. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Bartolomé del Presidio to repeatedly sacrifice Guan Yu, Sainted Warrior, growing larger with infinite +1/+1 counters while generating endless death, enter-the-battlefield, and sacrifice triggers. The engine hums effortlessly thanks to Deathrender, which instantly catches Guan Yu as it falls and drops it right back onto the battlefield from your hand, equipping itself in the process. Meanwhile, Remembrance exploits Guan Yu's dying breath to tutor a copy straight from your library into your hand, bypassing the card's native replacement ability that would otherwise shuffle it away. Together, these pieces create a closed circuit where Guan Yu never truly stays in the graveyard, fueling a relentless cycle of sacrifice and rebirth.
