How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Guan Yu.
2. When Guan Yu dies, it, Deathrender and Remembrance trigger.
3. Resolve the Guan Yu trigger, causing you to shuffle it into your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, causing you to search your library for Guan Yu and put it into your hand.
5. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting Guan Yu from your hand onto the battlefield, and attaching Deathrender to it.
6. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms Shilgengar, Sire of Famine into an engine of cyclical sacrifice by feeding him Guan Yu, Sainted Warrior to generate Blood tokens. Because Deathrender is equipped to Guan Yu, every time the warrior falls to Shilgengar's hunger, the Equipment's triggered ability lets you immediately drop Guan Yu right back onto the battlefield from your hand—a hand where Guan Yu was conveniently fetched up by Remembrance just moments before! Finally, Guan Yu's own static replacement ability triggers when it goes to the graveyard, shuffling it into your library so Remembrance can always find it again, letting you endlessly repeat this morbid cycle for infinite triggers and tokens.
