How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing any other non-Spirit creature.
2. When the creature dies, Requiem Angel triggers, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token that enters the battlefield as a copy of Essence of the Wild.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Carrion Feeder into an endlessly growing threat by leveraging a brilliant replacement effect. Whenever you sacrifice a creature to Carrion Feeder, Requiem Angel triggers to replace it with a 1/1 Spirit token, but thanks to Essence of the Wild, that token immediately enters the battlefield as a fresh copy of Essence of the Wild itself rather than a Spirit. Because this new copy is not a Spirit, it can be freely fed back into Carrion Feeder to repeat the cycle, yielding infinite creature sacrifices, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and limitless growth.
