How it works

1. Cast Apex Altisaur by paying 7.
2. When Apex Altisaur enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers.
3. Holding priority, cast Ajani's Presence by paying 2, giving Apex Altisaur and any creature an opponent controls +1/+1 and indestructible until end of turn.
4. Resolve the Apex Altisaur trigger, causing Apex Altisaur to fight the indestructible creature the opponent controls.
5. Apex Altisaur's second ability triggers, and Toralf triggers if the opposing creature's toughness is less than 0.
6. Resolve the Toralf trigger, if applicable, dealing damage equal to the excess to any target.
7. Resolve the Apex Altisaur trigger, causing it to fight the indestructible creature the opponent controls.
8. Repeat from step 5.

This clever sequence turns the massive stats of Apex Altisaur into a perpetual motion machine of violence. By using Ajani's Presence to grant both the Altisaur and a chosen opponent's creature indestructible, the dinosaur can fight the same target repeatedly without dying. Each time that fight happens, Apex Altisaur's Enrage ability triggers, dealing damage to the indestructible foe; because that creature's toughness cannot be reduced to zero, it perpetually absorbs blows and generates endless excess damage triggers. That overflow is caught by Toralf, God of Fury // Toralf's Hammer, converting every excess point into un-mitigatable damage directed straight at your opponents or their remaining permanents.
