How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Memnite.
2. When Memnite dies, Mortuary and Remembrance trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Memnite from your graveyard on top of your library.
4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, searching your library for Memnite and putting it into your hand.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Memnite's power.
6. Cast Memnite by paying 0.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies entirely on Memnite's zero-mana casting cost to keep the cycle spinning infinitely without draining your mana pool. You sacrifice the artifact creature to Altar of Dementia, triggering both Remembrance—which tutors another copy straight to your hand—and Mortuary, which quietly places the exact same card right on top of your library. Because Mortuary puts Memnite on the library just before Remembrance searches for it, your library state remains a perpetual fountain of free creatures. This endless rebirth lets you mill out any opponent completely while stacking up infinite sacrifice, death, and storm triggers along the way.
