How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Memnite.
2. When Memnite dies, Mortuary and Remembrance trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Memnite from your graveyard on top of your library.
4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, searching your library for Memnite and putting it into your hand.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Cast Memnite by paying 0.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns free artifact creatures into an endless engine by weaponizing the interaction between the graveyard and your library. When you activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Memnite, both Mortuary and Remembrance trigger simultaneously; resolving Mortuary places Memnite back onto your library just in time for Remembrance to let you search your library and put that exact same copy straight into your hand. Because Memnite costs zero mana to cast, you can immediately replay it and repeat the sacrifice, allowing Umbral Collar Zealot to filter through your deck with infinite surveil triggers while generating endless enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and death events.
