How it works

1. Cause Accomplished Alchemist to become an artifact using Thran Forge.
2. Activate Accomplished Alchemist by tapping it, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Accomplished Alchemist.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns an ordinary life-gain reward into an engine for infinite colored mana by rewriting the very nature of your creatures. First, you use Thran Forge to permanently transform Accomplished Alchemist into an artifact for the turn, allowing it to be targeted by artifact-specific mechanics. Once it's an artifact, Voltaic Construct provides the mechanical key by untapping it whenever you pay two mana, letting you cycle through tapping and untapping as long as your mana production outweighs the activation cost. That's where Accomplished Alchemist's own second ability comes in to fuel the loop, generating a massive surplus of mana based on your life gain to easily cover the costs and leave you with infinite mana.
