How it works

1. Cause Fanatic of Rhonas to become an artifact using Thran Forge.
2. Activate Fanatic of Rhonas by tapping it, adding
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Fanatic of Rhonas.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant engine transforms Fanatic of Rhonas into a self-sustaining mana core by leaning on its Ferocious ability to produce four green mana at a time. Because Fanatic of Rhonas isn't naturally an artifact creature, Thran Forge steps in to bridge the gap, granting it the artifact type so it becomes a valid target for Voltaic Construct. Once the Forge has done its work, Voltaic Construct’s untap ability can be fueled repeatedly using just two of the generated green mana, leaving a net profit of two mana with every loop.
