How it works

1. Cause Gumato to become an artifact using Thran Forge.
2. Activate Gumato by tapping it, adding
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Gumato.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By using Thran Forge to permanently transform Gumato into an artifact creature for the turn, we unlock a potent mana-generating loop. Once Gumato bears that artifact type, Voltaic Construct can step in to repeatedly untap it for a modest fee of two mana. Because Gumato’s tap ability yields a generous three green mana, this engine easily pays for its own untap cost while netting a surplus of infinite green mana.
