How it works
- Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
- When Bladewing's Thrall enters the battlefield, Lathliss triggers.
- Holding priority, activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
- Resolve the Lathliss trigger, creating a 5/5 Dragon creature token.
- When the Dragon enters the battlefield, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop turns Lathliss, Dragon Queen into an endless dragon-generating engine by exploiting the recursive nature of Bladewing's Thrall. Normally, the Thrall's graveyard-return trigger relies on actual Dragons, but Leyline of Transformation effortlessly patches that requirement by making every creature you own a Dragon across all zones. Once the Thrall hits the battlefield, you immediately feed it to Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability to trigger the Surveil mechanic while sending the Thrall safely back to the graveyard. Lathliss then rewards you with a fresh 5/5 Dragon token whose entry triggers Bladewing's Thrall to crawl right back out of the graveyard, restarting the cycle for an infinite storm of sacrifices, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and dragon tokens.
