How it works

1. Lose any amount of life.
2. Transcendence triggers, causing you to lose 2 life for each life lost this way.
3. Repeat step 2 in an infinite mandatory loop, causing the game to end in a draw.

This clever and precarious loop exploits a deterministic mathematical trap built into Transcendence. Normally, its replacement effect would turn any life loss into a net gain of life, but Rain of Gore brilliantly turns that life gain right back into life loss. Because Transcendence's triggered ability checks that new loss and triggers again, it creates an unstoppable, mandatory chain reaction that immediately forces a draw due to the infinite loop.
