How it works

1. Cast Retraction Helix by paying , targeting Devoted Druid.
2. Ivy triggers. Choose not to copy Retraction Helix
3. Resolve Retraction Helix
4. Cast Ancestral Mask by paying 2, targeting Devoted Druid.
5. Ivy triggers, copying Ancestral Mask twice due to Twinning Staff. Choose to have one copy target Ivy and the other copy target Devoted Druid.
6. Resolve all three Ancestral Masks, attaching one to Ivy and two to Devoted Druid.
7. Activate Devoted Druid using the ability given to it by Retraction Helix by tapping it, returning the nontoken Ancestral Mask from the battlefield to your hand.
8. Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
9. Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 two additional times, then repeat step 8 one additional time.
11. Repeat from step 4.

This intricate loop relies on granting Devoted Druid a tap ability via Retraction Helix so it can repeatedly bounce and recast a targeted aura to fuel an infinite mana and storm engine. When you cast Ancestral Mask on the Druid, Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief triggers and is amplified by Twinning Staff to create multiple copies that pump both creatures into colossal threats. Because Retraction Helix lets the Druid bounce that exact Ancestral Mask back to your hand, you can continuously untap the Druid by placing -1/-1 counters on it and tapping it for mana, generating an endless supply of green mana to cast the enchantment all over again.
