How it works

1. Cast Retraction Helix by paying , targeting Traxos.
2. Cast any historic card from your hand by paying 0.
3. Traxos triggers, untapping itself.
4. Activate Traxos by tapping it, returning the historic card from the battlefield to your hand.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns your free historic spells into a repeatable bounce engine by casting Retraction Helix to grant Traxos, Scourge of Kroog the ability to tap and return a nonland permanent to its owner's hand. Because casting any historic spell triggers Traxos's ability to untap itself, you can bounce a zero-mana historic card you just cast, return it to your hand, and recast it indefinitely. Each iteration of this cycle adds another spell to your storm count without costing any additional mana.
