How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Eternal Scourge, adding CC.
2. When Eternal Scourge dies, Planar Void triggers, exiling Eternal Scourge from your graveyard.
3. Cast Eternal Scourge from exile by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This loop sets up an endless engine of sacrifice and rebirth by turning Eternal Scourge into a self-sustaining mana source. Whenever Ashnod's Altar converts the Scourge into a pair of colorless mana, Planar Void immediately intercepts the card as it hits the graveyard, banishing it straight to exile instead. From there, Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius steps in to slash the casting cost entirely, allowing you to replay Eternal Scourge for free and feed it right back to the Altar.
