How it works
- Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Eternal Scourge, adding .
- Eternal Scourge is exiled instead of being put into your graveyard due to Rest in Peace.

This engine sets up an infinite recycling loop by turning exile into your personal graveyard, fueled entirely by the mana-generating sacrifice outlet Thermopod. With Rest in Peace active, any card that would hit the graveyard is instead sent straight to exile, which completely bypasses normal death restrictions and turns Eternal Scourge into a permanently recurring resource. Because Eternal Scourge can be cast directly from exile, Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius steps in to radically slash its cost, reducing the spell's price by {2} and allowing you to recast it for a mere single mana. You can continuously feed Eternal Scourge to Thermopod for red mana, recast it cheaply thanks to Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius, and let Rest in Peace redirect it right back to exile to fuel the next iteration.
