How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature you control, adding one mana of any color.
  2. Eloise's first ability triggers, and Eloise's second ability triggers if the creature was a token.
  3. Resolve the first trigger, creating a Clue token and a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token.
  4. Resolve the second trigger, if applicable, causing you to surveil 1.
  5. Repeat.
