How it works

1. Kill a creature.
2. The creature dies, triggering Eloise's first ability, creating a Clue token.
3. The Clue token becomes a 0/0 creature due to March of the Machines, and then dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This loop is set into motion when any creature meets its end, which sparks Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth to manufacture a Clue token. Thanks to March of the Machines turning all noncreature artifacts into artifact creatures, that newly minted Clue is born as a 0/0 creature and immediately perishes to state-based actions. This tragic zero-toughness demise triggers Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth all over again, creating an inescapable cycle of unending deaths that forces a draw of the game if neither player can intervene.
