How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing another creature you control.
2. Eloise's first ability triggers, and Eloise's second ability triggers if the creature was a token.
3. Resolve the first trigger, creating a Clue token and a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token.
4. Resolve the second trigger, if applicable, causing you to surveil 1.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns your sacrifice outlet into a self-sustaining engine by letting Stridehangar Automaton amplify your token creation whenever things hit the graveyard. When you use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice a creature, Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth triggers to investigate, which Stridehangar Automaton converts into both a Clue and an extra Thopter token. Because Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth also rewards you with surveil whenever you sacrifice any token, feeding those newly minted tokens right back into Umbral Collar Zealot lets you dig through your entire deck while generating infinite resources.
