How it works

1. Activate Mystic Sanctuary by tapping it, adding .
2. Cast Capture of Jingzhou by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
3. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying 2, blinking Mystic Sanctuary and Returned Pastcaller.
4. When Returned Pastcaller and Mystic Sanctuary enter the battlefield, they trigger.
5. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Resolve the Mystic Sanctuary trigger, putting Capture of Jingzhou from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
7. Move to your next turn, drawing Capture of Jingzhou during your draw step.
8. Repeat.

This elegant loop locks down the game by recycling your spells through a continuous loop of extra turns. You begin by casting Capture of Jingzhou to secure an extra turn, which you then immediately follow up with Ghostly Flicker to reset your key permanents. As Ghostly Flicker blinks Mystic Sanctuary and Returned Pastcaller, their triggered abilities fire off in tandem: Returned Pastcaller plucks Ghostly Flicker back from your graveyard, while Mystic Sanctuary neatly places Capture of Jingzhou right back on top of your library to be drawn on your next turn.
