How it works

1. Cast Walk the Aeons by paying its mana cost, taking an extra turn after this one.
2. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Progenitor Mimic triggers, creating a token copy of Returned Pastcaller.
3. When the token Returned Pastcaller enters the battlefield, it triggers itself, returning Walk the Aeons from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop sets up an infinite sequence of extra turns in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Oathbreaker, and Vintage by turning your upkeep into a revolving door of recursion. It all begins with **Walk the Aeons**, which grants you the extra turn you need to get your engine online. Once that extra turn arrives, **Progenitor Mimic** uses its upkeep trigger to spawn a non-token copy—or in this case, a token copy of **Returned Pastcaller**—which then drops smoothly onto the battlefield. Because **Returned Pastcaller** has a triggered ability that triggers when it enters, it immediately plucks **Walk the Aeons** right back out of your graveyard and into your hand, ready to be cast all over again.
