How it works

1. Cast Undying Malice by paying , targeting Returned Pastcaller.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Returned Pastcaller, adding .
3. When Returned Pastcaller dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. When Returned Pastcaller enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Undying Malice from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This infinite loop turns a modest Spirit into an endless engine of recursion by weaponizing the graveyard and the sacrifice outlet. You kick things off by casting Undying Malice to give Returned Pastcaller a safety net, then immediately feed it to Phyrexian Altar to generate the black mana needed to recast the spell. The real magic happens because Returned Pastcaller's entrance trigger plucks Undying Malice right back out of your graveyard into your hand, while its death triggers it right back onto the battlefield to do it all over again.
