How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it triggers, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
4. When Golgari Thug enters, Healer of the Pride triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into your personal hand through a self-sustaining cycle of sacrifice and rebirth. By using Ashnod's Altar to sacrifice Golgari Thug, you generate the colorless mana needed to fuel the engine while triggering the Thug's own death ability to stack itself back onto your library. Gwenom, Remorseless then lets you cast that very same Golgari Thug directly from the top of your library for life instead of mana, seamlessly feeding it back onto the battlefield. Meanwhile, Healer of the Pride patiently watches the chaos, effortlessly offsetting the life you paid for Gwenom's alternative casting cost each time the Thug returns.
