How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it triggers, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
4. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
5. When Golgari Thug enters, Healer of the Pride triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop uses Shilgengar, Sire of Famine as the ultimate engine, letting you sacrifice Golgari Thug to generate Blood tokens while triggering its dredge-like death ability to place it right back on top of your library. Bolas's Citadel breaks open the top of your library so you can continuously recast Golgari Thug for a small life payment instead of its mana cost, completely bypassing traditional mana constraints. Meanwhile, Healer of the Pride effortlessly offsets that life loss by generating infinite lifegain triggers every single time the Thug enters the battlefield anew.
