How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it triggers, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
4. When Golgari Thug enters, Healer of the Pride triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant loop turns a humble skeleton into a self-sustaining engine by letting you repeatedly cast and sacrifice the same creature at zero net life cost. Thermopod acts as your sacrifice outlet, converting Golgari Thug into red mana while sending the creature to the graveyard to trigger its dredge-like return ability—except here, Golgari Thug’s own death trigger places itself directly on top of your library instead of relying on a replacement effect. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless allows you to cast Golgari Thug straight off the top of your library for life instead of mana, and since Gwenom's alternative cost pays in life rather than mana, Healer of the Pride immediately offsets that exact life loss with every creature entry.
