How it works

1. Cast Acererak by paying .
2. Aetherflux Reservoir triggers, causing you to gain life.
3. When Acererak enters, its first ability and Carnival of Souls trigger.
4. Resolve the Carnival of Souls trigger, causing you to add and lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Acererak trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand, and venturing into Lost Mine of Phandelver.
6. Repeat.

This delightfully greedy loop works by turning Acererak the Archlich into a self-returning spell that endlessly recasts itself for free once Temur Battlecrier reduces its mana cost to zero. Every single time Acererak enters the battlefield, Carnival of Souls graciously offsets the casting cost by providing the black mana needed while triggering Aetherflux Reservoir to steadily inflate your life total through massive lifegain. With an arbitrarily large life buffer established, you can safely cash out Aetherflux Reservoir's activation to obliterate your opponents, all while plowing endlessly through the Lost Mine of Phandelver dungeon on the back of Acererak's persistent trespassing.
