How it works
- Cast Nethroi either from your hand or from the command zone for its mutate cost by paying 4G/W, putting it under a non-Human creature you control.
- Nethroi triggers, returning Acererak the Archlich and Mitotic Slime from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Acererak the Archlich enters, it triggers, returning Nethroi from the battlefield to your hand.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing Acererak the Archlich and Mitotic Slime, adding .
- When Mitotic Slime dies, it triggers, creating two 2/2 Ooze creature tokens.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Oozes, adding 1G/W.
- When the Oozes die, they trigger, creating four 1/1 Ooze creature tokens.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar three times by sacrificing three Oozes, adding 3.
- Repeat.
This clever loop centers around Nethroi, Apex of Death, whose mutate trigger plucks both Acererak the Archlich and Mitotic Slime straight out of your graveyard. When Acererak enters the battlefield, its own clause bounces it right back to your hand while triggering a continuous cycle of dungeon ventures. Meanwhile, sacrificing Acererak and Mitotic Slime—alongside the cascading swarm of Ooze tokens generated when the Slime and its progeny perish—to Phyrexian Altar continuously generates the mana needed to recast Nethroi and start the whole process over again.
