How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing it.
2. When Viscera Seer dies, Mortuary and Vindictive Vampire trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Viscera Seer from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Vindictive Vampire trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and dealing 1 damage to each opponent.
5. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
6. Cast Viscera Seer from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the top of your library into an endless armory, fueled entirely by life instead of mana thanks to Bolas's Citadel. By using Viscera Seer to sacrifice itself, Mortuary ensures the creature immediately returns right to the top of your deck where the Citadel can cast it again for just a single point of life. Meanwhile, Vindictive Vampire watches the endless procession of dying creatures to drain your opponents out of the game while padding your life total to sustain the costs.
