How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Stormbound Geist
2. When Stormbound Geist dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Stormbound Geist
4. When Stormbound Geist dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant loop relies on the seamless interplay between Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight and the mechanics of the creatures involved. Once you transform into Isilu, its static ability grants persist to your other nontoken creatures, neatly complementing Stormbound Geist and its native undying ability. By repeatedly sacrificing Stormbound Geist to Ashnod's Altar, you generate a continuous stream of colorless mana while alternately placing +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on the Geist as it triggers its back-to-back return abilities from the graveyard.
