How it works

1. Donate Blightbeetle to an opponent
2. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing the undying creature.
3. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns Blightbeetle's passive hate into a tool for self-preservation, exploiting the fact that its static ability prevents opponents' creatures from receiving +1/+1 counters. By using Fateful Handoff to donate that Blightbeetle to your opponent, any creature with undying that enters your graveyard can no longer have a counter placed upon it when it returns. This allows Bartolomé del Presidio to repeatedly sacrifice the creature, generating infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and endless +1/+1 counters for Bartolomé del Presidio itself.
