How it works

1. Cast Capture of Jingzhou by paying 3, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
2. Cast Mystic Retrieval by paying 3, returning Runic Repetition to your hand from your graveyard.
3. Cast Mystic Retrieval from your graveyard for its flashback cost by paying 2, returning Capture of Jingzhou from your graveyard to your hand and exiling Mystic Retrieval.
4. Cast Runic Repetition by paying 2, returning Mystic Retrieval from exile to your hand.
5. Repeat each turn.

This clever loop achieves an infinite turn lock by recycling your spells through the graveyard and exile zones. You begin by casting Capture of Jingzhou to secure your extra turns, which then feeds into Mystic Retrieval's ability to pull other key pieces from the graveyard. When you cast Mystic Retrieval a second time using its flashback cost, it grabs Capture of Jingzhou back while exiling itself, perfectly setting up Runic Repetition to rescue that same Mystic Retrieval from exile. By continually chaining these effects together, you generate endless turns to lock opponents out of the game entirely.
