How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability and the ability granted to it by Doom Weaver trigger.
3. Resolve the trigger from the ability granted by Doom Weaver, causing you to draw a card.
4. Resolve the persist trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. When the persist creature enters the battlefield, Doom Weaver's soulbond ability and Olivia trigger.
6. Resolve the Olivia trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to discard a card.
7. Resolve the Doom Weaver trigger, repairing it and the persist creature.
8. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
9. Repeat.

This crafty loop transforms a creature with persist into an engine for endless card advantage and resource generation by feeding it directly into Phantom Train. As the sacrificed creature hits the graveyard, Doom Weaver steps in to capitalize on the death by turning its power into a cascade of drawn cards, while the creature's own persist mechanic brings it right back to the battlefield. That returning entry immediately wakes up Olivia, Mobilized for War to hand out a timely +1/+1 counter—which conveniently cancels out the creature's -1/-1 counter—while letting you rummage away cards from your hand. Finally, Doom Weaver's soulbond ability re-establishes the pairing so the entire tragic cycle can repeat anew.
