How it works

1. Activate Sliver Queen by paying 1, creating a 1/1 Sliver creature token.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Sliver token, adding CC.
3. Repeat.

This classic synergy creates a loop that spins endlessly into infinite colorless mana and an infinite army of tokens. At the center of the engine is Sliver Queen, whose ability to breed more Slivers usually costs two mana, but the passive presence of Heartstone drops that activation cost down to just one mana. That discount changes everything: when you use Ashnod's Altar to sacrifice the newly minted token for two generic mana, you have more than enough to pay for the Queen's ability again with mana to spare, fueling an unbroken cycle of creation and sacrifice.
